Sea Life: Sydney

Sea Life: Sydney

So upon arrival in Sydney, we had in our possession several passes to Merlin attractions due to Charlotte being an employee of Underwater World Mooloolaba!

This allowed us free entry into Sydney's equivalent attraction, Sea Life Sydney!

Despite having worked in Underwater World for several months, Charlotte and I wanted to investigate for 2 major draws: Dugongs and Platypus.

Previously in our adventures we had searched fruitlessly for both, first hiring a boat to explore the grass beds around Moreton Bay in Queensland in search of the elusive Dugong, and then driving around for hours around the river systems around Nymboida in NSW searching for Platypus. After all this effort, all we had to do to see both was walk into Sea Life Sydney!

We had a great time walking around the aquarium, which was very large and very impressive. They had larger sharks than Mooloolaba (not sure we would have gone for a tank dive here!) and Charlotte spent a good deal of time discussing workplace related things with the staff!

Unfortunately, the platypus were sleeping in their dens...but we did see them at the Zoo so we weren't too disappointed!
