On Friday 24th April, I went climbing with a couple of friends from work. Umberto, an Italian, is a keen climber and has all the equipment and local knowledge of the best climbing spots on the Sunshine Coast, so we didn't have to pay a penny for an activity that can cost hundreds of dollars!
We climbed Mt Beerwah, one of the Glasshouse Mountains, on a relatively 'easy' route (he says) that was challenging for Rafaele and myself, but still do-able. The scenery was spectacular - we had views across the entire Sunshine Coast and the hinterland, and could see from Noosa all the way down to Caloundra.

A bit more perspective on size
Abseiling down with kit. The only way to start the climb was to get down to the bottom, which was inaccessible any other way.
Climbing back
Climbing back up - again, the only way to get to the top. We took a few climbs, and on the last we carried kit up.
The views
Me admiring the views
