So on Wednesday morning we left the Sunshine Coast to begin our travels! After months of saving and working and surfing and meeting great people and exploring the Sunny Coast, we're finally on our way around Australia!
On Monday night we had a BBQ to say goodbye to all the great friends we made here and lots of people turned up. It was a great way to end our stay!
So we spent our first day in Brisbane - getting National Park permits and chilling in the city centre. We then moved out to Cleveland where we found a free parking spot on the point. It was on a spit of land and surrounded by the sea! We had BBQ's and toilets and water and it was quiet, a great place to set up camp. However, the weather has been awful these first few days. Torrential rain all day, every day so we haven't had the chance to do everything we wanted.
After waking up to rain, we decided to scrap our plan to go to Stradbrook Island as the weather was so bad we wouldn't have been able to see or do anything, so instead we headed down to the Gold Coast. We have now arrived at our camping park within a severe weather warning area, so we will see what we can do!
